Does this support Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce?
Yes. The integration talks to Magento's REST and GraphQL APIs, so it works with Magento 2 Open Source and with Adobe Commerce. Older Magento 1 stores can be connected as well, though they use the legacy SOAP API.
How are Magento's multiple store views and websites handled?
Magento can run several websites, stores and store views from one installation, often in different currencies and tax regions. Each one can be mapped to its own QuickBooks class, location or income account, so you can report on them separately instead of seeing a single merged sales figure.
Which direction does inventory move?
Usually Magento to QuickBooks for sales, and QuickBooks to Magento for stock levels, so purchasing decisions are made on accounting data and the storefront never sells what you do not have. The direction is configurable per record type.
How are Magento's tax rules mapped to QuickBooks?
Magento calculates tax from tax classes and rate rules that rarely line up one-for-one with QuickBooks tax codes. The mapping is defined explicitly during setup, so each Magento tax rule posts to a named QuickBooks tax code rather than being rounded into a single catch-all rate.
