Common questions

Something not covered here? Ask us directly.

Does this work with Opayo, the current name for Sage Pay?

Yes. Sage Pay was renamed Opayo after its acquisition by Elavon, and the gateway API is the same one. Existing Sage Pay merchant accounts and newer Opayo accounts are both supported.

Which transaction types transfer to QuickBooks?

Payment, Deferred and Release, Authenticate and Authorise, refunds and voids, along with the gateway's transaction reference. Deferred transactions do not post as income until they are released, so revenue is recognised when the money is actually taken.

How are gateway fees and settlement handled?

Settlement arrives net of merchant service charges. The gross transaction, the fee and the net settlement are posted separately so the bank line matches, rather than leaving a small unexplained difference on every deposit.

Does it support 3-D Secure and multi-currency trading?

3-D Secure results are recorded with the transaction, and accounts trading in more than one currency can map each settlement currency to its own QuickBooks bank account, with conversion posted to exchange difference.
